Here are some pictures of an embroidery workshop we have recently plastered at Knotty Lane, Lepton. In order to level out the walls, and create space for Kingspan Insulation, the walls were built out with 50mm x 75mm timber studding at 400mm intervals. We made sure that every gap was insulated to make sure this Garden Room can be kept cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. The ceilings were insulated further, with 100mm Kingspan between the ceiling spurs, and specially designed Thermaline PIR plasterboards with 25mm insulation fixed over the spurs.
Our skilled plasterers then took extreme care not to splash the oak beams with plaster when neatly skimming round them. The finished effect is that of a light, fresh and airy room with clean lines and crisp edges. Combining the sharpness of the finish and the standard of the insulation, we feel that this project has become the perfect home workshop/office.
